Is it possible that in the 75 days that the car was laid up, the oil and gunk in the narrow passages of the heads congealed (dried up)? When restarting, no oil could get up into the the lifter galleries. Above idle rpm, circa 2 to 3K, the higher oilpressure generated by the faster spinning pump, could overcome the restriction and the lifters would go quiet. Put some Rislone for good measure. No more noise.
